Hardware-software system for electropuncture stimulation KES-01-"MIDA" has been designed for electropuncture stimulation therapy of wide spectrum of diseases and pathological states. The system may be used by physicians, mastering acupuncture techniques.
KES-01-"MIDA" operates when connected to PC.

The system provides the following functions and options:

• acupuncture points (AP) locating based on maximal conductivity of skin areas;
• sequential stimulation of APs (up to 16 points) with parameters presets for each separate point (namely: polarity, amplitude, duration and sequence order of electrical impulses, stimulation duration and scheme repetition factor);
• stimulating impulses amplitude measurement for each AP before and after each session;
• electrical resistivity measurement for each AP before and after each session;
• PC display visualization of stimulation parameters and AP state in process of treatment;
• conduct of the database, containing patients' profiles, therapy schemes, stimulation parameters and AP state for each session;
• editing and import-export of therapy schemes
• participation of patients in the process of treatment.

Minimal system requirements for PC used:

• Intel 386SX33 processor or analogous;
• RAM 4 Mb;
• Free disk space 10 Mb;
• VGA video display card;
• "mouse" manipulator.

Operating system Microsoft Windows 3.1 (or higher version) should be installed on PC.

Therapeutic indications for KES-01-"MIDA":

Nervous system diseases

• neurological demonstrations of vertebral column osteochondrosis;
• peripheral and vegetative nervous system diseases;
• vascular diseases of spinal cord or cerebrum (1^st — 2^nd phases of hypertension, early stages of atherosclerosis);
• spinal cord or cerebrum traumas results,as well as injuries of peripheral nerves.

Mental diseases:

• neuroses (neurasthenia, obsessional neurosis, phobia, hysteria);
• some neurotic syndromes (nocturnal enuresis, sexual disorders of psychological nature, sleep disturbances, occupational dyskinesias, functional hyperkinesis etc.)

Internal organs diseases:

• cardiovascular system ( 1^st — 2^nd phases of hypertension, atherosclerosis, cardialgias of diverse nature);
• respiratory organs (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis);
• digestive organs (chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, chronic non-calculous cholecystitis and biliferous tracts dyskinesias, chronic entercolites and intestine dyskinesias, atonic and spastic constipations);
• urino-genital system (cystitis, cystalgia).
