8. Maintenance

8.1. The maintenance of the system consists in regular cleaning of all the electrodes of the electrostimulator. The electrodes should be cleaned with a cotton tampon moistened in alcohol.

8.2. Worn out fuse filters should be replaced, if indication lamp POWER is not lit when the device is turned on.

9. Operability Test

Operability test should be carried out as follows:

9.1. Connect circuit analyzer to stimulation electrodes №1 and COMMON.

9.2. Set analyzer's switches to measure alternating voltage with 10V upper limit of measurement.

9.3. Run (see 7.3, 7.4) electrostimulator monitoring program and click New session button in the main window (fig.1, 2).

The window Stimulation session (fig. 5) opens.

9.4. Set Acupuncture point data in corresponding fields of the table of the window to:

    Electrode No. - 1,
    Impulse type - 1,
    Duration - 4,
    Frequency - 125.

9.5. Click Adaptation button and settle zero meterage of the first sound signal on the analyzer.

After the first sound signal is given, analyzer meterages should increase.

9.6. Settle maximal meterage of the analyzer at the moment when the second sound signal is given.

Electrostimulator is operable if analyzer reading at the moment of the second sound signal is greater than or equal to 3 V.

10. Transportation and Storage

10.1. Electrostimulator may be transported by all kinds of transportation except non-heated sections of aircraft. The transportation rules for corresponding transport type should be observed.

10.2. Railway carriages, containers, truck-bodies, used to transport KES device, should not have any sign of cement, coal, chemicals etc.

10.3. Before putting into operation, leave the device in warm place (at the temperature of +20 + 5 o C) for 24 hours in case if electrostimulator has been exposed to low temperature for a significant time.

10.4. If KES is not put into operation just after the delivery, it should be stored in heated place, inside its genuine package.

10.5. The maximal shelf-life for KES is 1 year .

11. Warranty

11.1. The warranty maintenance validity period for electrostimulator is 2 years considering from the date the device is handed over for exploitation.

11.2. The warranty maintenance is effected by the manufacturer.

11.3. After the warranty period expires (see p. 11.1) the maintenance of electrostimulatorîr will be conducted according to the contract for medico-technical maintenance, by the terms of which KES user will be provided with:

  • new versions of earlier acquired software;
  • KES hardware components maintenance and assistance in software usage;
  • regular information concerning new functionalities of the system;
  • consultations on technical and medical issues, related to KES exploitation.

11.4. Manufacturer — Joint Stock Company "Microelectronic Sensors and Devices"
(JSC MIDAUS).
