5. Installation procedure

5.1. Locate the desk (with PC and EU on it) near the place for patient (considering electrode cable length is 1,5 m).

5.2. Connect the computer casing to the grounding mat available, using the cable with the section of 1,5 mm ² and EU grounding cable .

5.3. Connect plug-and-socket PC located on the back side of KES EU to PC parallel port by means of cable supplied.

5.4. Connect search electrodes cable to plug-and-socket SEARCH ELECTRODE, connect stimulation electrodes cable to plug-and-socket STIMULATION ELECTRODES, connect manipulator cable to plug-and-socket MANIPULATOR located on the front panel of EU. Fix electrode cables in the holder.

5.5. Turn on the computer (push POWER button) and EU of the stimulator (push MAINS button at the rear side of the device), load OS Windows.

5.6. Insert KES software diskette #1 (included in delivery) into the 3,5” floppy-disk drive.

5.7. Run the program “SETUP.EXE”, from the diskette.

After that, follow the instructions shown on the display.

5.8. The program is available just after the installation.

6. Safety instructions

6.1. The hardware part of the system is designed in correspondence with Russian State Standardization requirements.

6.2. The room with the device should have grounding mat with electrical resistance less than or equal to 4 Ohm. PC casing and earth wire of EU should be connected to the grounding mat mentioned.

6.3. Only physicians mastering acupuncture techniques (after the safety instructing) may be admitted to operate KES .
