Purpose and field of application

1.1. The operating manual contains the information, necessary for proper functioning of hardware-software electropuncture stimulation system KES-01-"MIDA" (hereinafter referred as KES or electrostimulator).

1.2. KES is designed for electropuncture therapy of various diseases. The electrostimulator provides: acupuncture points locating based on maximal electrical conductivity (minimal electrical resistance) of patient's skin area (with displayed indications); sequential stimulation of acupuncture points (up to 16 points) with parameters presets for each separate point (namely: polarity, amplitude, duration and sequence order of electrical impulse, duration of stimulation and scheme repetition factor); facilities to change stimulation impulses amplitude in the process of session (the changes are effected by patient himself on the basis of his own perception); stimulating impulses amplitude measurement for each acupuncture point before and after each session (the measurement results are saved in database); individual stimulation program for each point.

The electrostimulator is manufactured in accordance with Russian State Standards.

1.3. KES consists of electrical unit, search and control electrodes, stimulation electrodes, manipulator, holder, cables to connect electrical unit to PC and electrodes, software.

1.4. KES is designed to be used by physicians, mastering acupuncture techniques, in the process of therapy. The system should not be used by unskilled operators.

It is strictly forbidden to use KES for self treatment!

1.5. Electrostimulator does not require special accommodations (except ground bus).

1.6. KES functions indoors with ambient air temperature from +10 up to +35 ºC and relative humidity 80%.

1.7. The designations of the system components accepted in the instruction are:

EU — electrical unit;
SE — search electrode;
CE — control electrode;
StE — stimulation electrode;
PC — personal computer.
