JSC "MIDAUS"
JSC "MIDAUS"

The story of Joint Stock Company "Microelectronic Sensors and Devices" (JSC MIDAUS) began in February, 22, 1991, when the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Soviet Republic issued registration certificate No .135 for Russian-German Joint Venture MIDAUS. From the very beginning the purpose of establishing MIDAUS enterprise was industrial introduction of scientific and technological achievements of its co-founders, SIE MIDA and CB AUD (which were organized in 1990 after SIC UCM decay).

Today JSC MIDAUS is a key enterprise of Industrial Group "Microelectronic Sensors" (IG MIDA), including, apart from JSC MIAUS, State Scientific Enterprise "Ulyanovsk Center of Microelectronics and Automation" (SE UCM), marketing enterprise JSC MNS (Ulyanovsk) and JV Sapfir-MNS (Lvov, Ukraina). Thus, IG MIDA, having integrated development, production and sales of high-technology products — microelectronic pressure sensors MIDA as well as related devices — factually became the successor of Scientific Research Institute of Semi-conductor Integral Sensors (the first entity of SIC UCM having pilot production).

Presently IG MIDA operates the most up-to-date processes ensuring production of devices of high accuracy and reliability. Machining of titanium and other metals, including automated production of components; plastic parts casting; vacuum soldering of titanium with sapphire and stainless steel argon-arc, laser, electron-beam welding of metals; ultrasonic welding of aluminum with silicon; surface mounting of electronic boards – all these together with original design and technological solutions allow to master new devices quickly and to produce them with high quality and relatively low cost.

Tens of thousands of MIDA devices are being used for many years by various enterprises in different branches of industry, power sector, transport and public utilities enterprises in Russia and abroad. The key consumers of MIDA products in Russia are gas and petroleum refineries, electric power stations (including atomic ones) etc. Since 1995 thousands of pressure transmitters have been exported to USA, Czech Republic, China, India and South Korea.

All the activities carried out in IG MIDA are certified by the State Standards Bureau and the State Atomic Energy Sector Monitoring Committee as well as Federal Department for Mining and Industrial Supervision of Russian Federation. IG MIDA sensors are also approved by the State Standards Bureau; they have hazardous-safe certificates and are licensed for use in atomic power stations and agreed with Russian Federation Marine Registry.

The most valuable "property" of IG MIDA is its employees, who produce high-technology and competitive devices. Over one forth of the staff has been working for IG MIDA since the enterprise was established; over a half of employees have working experience exceeding 5 years. Practically all the technological processes, that determine sensors quality, are operated by engineers-technologists. The company is headed by high-skilled specialists: general director — doctor of science Vladimir M. Stuchebnikov, production director — Eugeny E. Bushev, director — candidate of science Oleg L. Nikolaichuk.

Medicine and Bionomics Institute of Ulyanovsk State UniversityTen years is a maturity age for JSC MIDAUS. Presently MIDA trademark is well-known all over the Russia; more and more companies and enterprises prefer our high-precision devices. Regular intercommunion with clients, timely consideration of their wishes and proposals, continuous upgrading of the products — owing to all these factors MIDA devices earned just fame. The fact that the company, having been tempered in times of economic crisis and "shock therapy", keeps growing, expanding its production, enhancing quality and nomenclature of goods, stimulates the employees of JSC MIDAUS as well as workers of all the enterprises of IG MIDA to look forward in days to come optimistically.
